Description:
The SK6812 4020 side-emitting LED strip is a programmable colored LED strip with a specially packaged design. Its core features are side-emitting light and integrated intelligent control IC, giving it significant advantages in specific lighting scenarios.
Unlike traditional front-emitting pixel LED strips, the SK6812 4020 (4.0mm × 2.0mm) LED chip emits light directly from the side, with the light radiating parallel to the PCB board.
Suitable for narrow spaces, edge lighting (e.g., cabinet gaps, glass curtain wall frames), or signage backlighting, it achieves a concealed, uniform, linear lighting effect.
Each 4020 packaged LED incorporates an SK6812 driver IC, supporting single-wire serial communication (SPI protocol) for "single-point, single-control": each LED can be independently set to 256 grayscale levels of RGB color, resulting in up to 16 million colors. Data uses automatic shaping and forwarding technology, allowing cascading distances of over 10 meters with low signal distortion, supporting long-distance, high-density layouts.
Powered by 5V, this LED strip features a high refresh rate: a PWM frequency of up to 1.2kHz (compared to 400Hz for the WS2812B), effectively reducing visible flicker and making it suitable for high-speed dynamic effects. It also boasts a wide color gamut and excellent color consistency: built-in PWM constant current technology ensures uniform full-color mixing. Special red light processing enhances color balance.
